Using styles

A style is a named set of attributes that describe the appearance of text. It includes: the font typeface, size and color. It also includes the amount of spacing between lines using the style, and whether lines contain a bottom or top border.

The advantage of styles is that you can easily change the look of an entire document by changing the style definition.

The are two main ways to create styles. You can modify the look of any text in your document, then create a style from the text. You can also use the Style Manager to create new styles and modify any existing styles.
