Localization

Help Crafter allows you to create help content containing multiple localizations.

To add a new localization:

Click the localization control at the right of the Help Crafter toolbar.
Select Add new…
Select the language you wish to add to your help bundle from the menu.

You can also add locales from the Helpbook settings window.

After creating the localization, you can use the localization control to switch between supported languages. You should provide translated content for each language for:

The title for the help bundle in the page structure window .
The page names in the page structure window .
The search properties (Search title, Abstract, and Keywords).
The content for each page.

Tip: if you have images that show strings, you should provide localized versions of each images.

Tip: If your application does not contain the localization for a user, they will see the default localization, which is the first one defined in the help book settings.

To remove a localization

Choose File > Helpbook settings
Select the language you wish to delete
Click the - button
Click OK to save your changes
